Welcoming Assembly Label to NZ

. Friday, 13 March 2020 .

How exciting is it that Assembly Label chose New Zealand as the location of their first ever international store?

I've loved their pieces for years - they're a staple in my brunch outfit rotation. The comfiest crew neck sweaters, the perfect white tee, wide leg pants that you can dress up and down... Assembly Label has got classic pieces down to an artform.

It's no surprise that they chose Newmarket as their location. The NZ stores will have the same aesthetic as the Australian stores (pictured above) so I have no doubt they will fit right in to the new Westfield mall.

The store has been created with esteemed designers We Are Triibe keeping sustainability and simplicity in mind. We Are Triibe says about the store design, “The concept for Assembly Label’s newest store in Auckland was derived ultimately from the label’s effortless, minimalist and laid-back approach to design. We wanted to inject the staple light and airy Assembly Label aesthetic into the Newmarket store - but with a twist; utilising beautiful and carefully curated furniture pieces and natural finishes from New Zealand and Australian product designers & makers.” Co-founder of Assembly Label Damien Horan says, "Our stores are free from complexity, favouring unyielding quality and refined simplicity over adornment. Our promise of welcoming environments that are easy to navigate and shop in comfort. Mirroring the same principles in service, we offer a unique and authentic in-store experience delivered by a warm and highly informed team.”

I've been looking forward to visiting the new store since I found out about it (my wallet is hiding as we speak) so lucky for me (and you) it is officially opening this Saturday, 14 March. I've had a look on their Australian website to get a feel of what I can expect and I'm happy to report they have the dreamiest neutral palettes and dresses in black and white - my favourite combo!

Check them out at Westfield Newmarket, Shop S241, Level 2.
