1. Sometimes life is about finding yourself in your friend's living room at 8:30 on a Monday night, doing some copywriting while listening to her and her husband have the most random talks. The kind that only happens between two people who have been in love for a long time. Lighthearted banter, domestic admin, and glances exchanged between them as they have their own secret conversation going on somewhere. Sometimes life is also about watching lip sync battle while said friend demonstrates the yoga poses she's learnt in her maternity class while her husband looks lovingly on.

Ten Things

. Saturday 6 August 2016 .
It's 12:43 am and my mind is buzzing with ideas while extreme journal-ing and blocking out dates in my diary. August is a manic month with Spark Festival, PechaKucha, Press Club, New Zealand Fashion Week, a film, blog rebrand and refresh, novel writing, and actual full-time job that's also at its busiest time. It's been a while since I've felt this way.

Boy, have I got so much to tell you about the last 6 months and how it felt like my world as I knew it completely collapsed. The end of things you never thought would end. At least not this quick. The friends who moved away. Mourning the loss of a project you poured your heart and soul to. These are just some of the things that the first half of the year had blessed me with. It's all gold, baby. Things have a funny way of working out.

Today I got to cuddle a baby, meet about a film project I'm so excited to be part of, and spent the evening doing more work on the fashion front. There comes a moment in your life where you realise why you are alive. I think this might be it.

P.S. sorry for the lack of posts and this crappy layout that's not mobile responsive (2016 called... it said I need to keep up with the times), but my blog is getting a refresh. There's a lot going on this month but we are chipping away at it quietly in the background. I'll be posting on my Instagram predominantly while this update happens.

This might be it
