Life lately...

. Tuesday 25 April 2017 .

is catching-up with my auntie Gienet who I haven't seen in 10 years. She's 2 years older than me and I've rediscovered in this trip just how similar we are. She had a stop over in Auckland so we had 2 days/nights of adventure time. There's nothing quite like that first hug when you see someone for the first time in a very long time. It was such a great couple of days despite the weather being a bit crap. Such a great reminder that family really is everything and love binds us all - distance be damned.

is also discovering that we both use the same Chanel product! Because after family, Chanel really is everything.

is finding gratitude in candy coloured skies against my local petrol station.

is lots and lots of good food shared with good people.

is for enjoying the extra day off after Easter Monday which I spent in Auckland spoiling my brother with an all expenses paid shopping trip as a late birthday present. He ever so kindly took me out for coffee at one of my favourite places in between the spending expedition.

is being the first member of the public to check out the new additions to Metro by Hoyts. It's no secret that I'm a big movie buff and my Hoyts rewards card is the second most important card in my wallet next to my eftpos card (and no, I'm not paid to say this) so to be able to have a sneak peak of the new cinema 6 and 7, try out the reclining seats, see the projectors being installed, and the walls without speakers yet was so fascinating! Thanks Paul from Metro for the tour. 10/10 can't wait to try again.

is spending time with this lot. Hard to believe that Twitter (and our love and passion for Hamilton) brought us together. These guys are my book club/yoga/eating/cafe-hopping pals and I'm so so thankful that our paths crossed.

is Beauty and the Beast songs on repeat and more plans to see the movie again.

is lots of rest and recuperating and honey lemon drinks and turmeric milk which sounds gross but is actually so good! Like really really good. It makes me sleep so I have it before bed and I wake up feeling so refreshed and well. Holla if you want the recipe!

is fresh sheets and an early bed time. Good night, lovers x
